Description

This hearty and delicious Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole combines fluffy crescent rolls, savory sausage, eggs, and cheese for a satisfying breakfast that’s perfect for any morning or special brunch. It’s easy to make and full of flavor, making it a family favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) of crescent rolls

  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (or any sausage of your choice)

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)

  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. If using onions and bell peppers, add them to the pan in the last few minutes of cooking and sauté until soft. Drain any excess grease.

  • Roll out the crescent rolls on the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a solid layer.

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

  • Spread the cooked sausage mixture evenly over the crescent rolls.

  • Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and rolls, then sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.

  • Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the breakfast sausage with bacon or ham for a different flavor.

  • Add any additional vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to customize your casserole.

  • This dish is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even dinner!
