Description

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups chopped apples (about 23 medium apples)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • Gradually blend in the dry flour mixture, mixing until smooth.
  • Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then remove from the pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
