- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1 cup caramel bits
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
- In a separate small bowl, combine caramel bits and water. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir until smooth.
- In a large bowl, add the crispy rice cereal. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir until well coated.
- Press the chocolate-cereal mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
- Drizzle the melted caramel over the top of the bars.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until set.
- Once firm, cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- For added texture and flavor, you can mix in some chopped nuts or add a pinch of sea salt on top before refrigerating.
- These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
- If you prefer a thicker layer of caramel, feel free to add more caramel bits.
