Ingredients
-
1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
-
2 large eggs
-
½ cup vegetable oil
-
Optional mix-ins (choose any or combine):
-
1 cup chocolate chips
-
½ cup chopped nuts
-
½ cup M&M’s or candy pieces
-
¼ cup sprinkles
-
½ cup white chocolate chunks
-
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Mix the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine the dry cake mix, eggs, and oil. Stir until a thick dough forms. Fold in any desired mix-ins. -
Scoop the Dough:
Use a spoon or cookie scoop to portion out the dough. Place on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart. -
Bake:
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until edges are set and centers look slightly underbaked. Don’t overbake. -
Cool:
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 15–30 minutes for puffier cookies.
Don’t overmix—just combine until no dry mix remains.
Slight underbaking keeps cookies soft and chewy.
Melted butter can be used in place of oil for richer flavor.
Great base recipe for mix-ins like peanut butter cups, toffee bits, or chopped candy bars.
