Description

This Coffee Panna Cotta is a smooth, creamy Italian dessert with the rich, aromatic flavor of cold brew coffee. A perfect balance of sweetness and coffee depth, this indulgent treat is easy to prepare and makes for a sophisticated, yet simple dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold brew coffee
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is warm (but not boiling).
  • In a separate bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  • Add the bloomed gelatin mixture and cold brew coffee to the warm cream mixture, stirring constantly until the gelatin is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour the panna cotta mixture into ramekins or molds, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or until the panna cotta is fully set.
  • To serve, dip the bottoms of the ramekins in warm water for a few seconds to loosen the panna cotta, then invert onto a plate.

Notes

  • For a more intense coffee flavor, you can use a stronger brew or espresso in place of the cold brew coffee.
  • You can add a layer of chocolate ganache or whipped cream on top for an extra touch of indulgence.
  • If you don’t have ramekins, small cups or glasses can be used to set the panna cotta, and it can be served directly in those.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute the heavy cream with coconut milk or a non-dairy cream.
