Description

This Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is a rich, indulgent treat that combines the fudgy goodness of brownies with the comforting texture of bread. It’s the perfect dessert for chocolate lovers, offering a dense, moist, and deliciously gooey center with a slight crisp on the edges. Ideal for any occasion, from a cozy evening at home to a holiday celebration!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until smooth.

  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until well combined.

  • In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk, and mix until just combined.

  • Fold in the hot fudge sauce, ensuring it’s evenly incorporated into the batter.

  • If desired, fold in the chocolate chips or chunks for added richness.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.

  • Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of additional hot fudge sauce.

  • You can swap the milk for buttermilk for a slightly tangy twist on the flavor.

  • If you don’t have hot fudge sauce, you can use chocolate syrup as a substitute.
