Description

This classic pumpkin pie is the perfect dessert for the fall season or holiday gatherings. Made with a smooth, spiced pumpkin filling and baked in a flaky pie crust, it’s a comforting treat that’s always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15 oz) can of pumpkin puree

  • 1 (12 oz) can of evaporated milk

  • 2 large eggs

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ground ginger

  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg

  • ¼ tsp ground cloves

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust (or homemade)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, eggs, evaporated milk, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Pour the pumpkin mixture into the pie crust.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

  • After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 40-45 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • Remove from the oven and allow the pie to cool completely before serving.

  • Optional: Top with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.

Notes

You can use homemade pie crust for an extra special touch.

For a firmer filling, bake for an additional 5 minutes at the lower temperature.
