  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  • Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • While the donuts are cooling, prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Once the donuts have cooled, dip each donut into the cream cheese glaze and then roll in the graham cracker crumbs for a crunchy finish.
