- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the donuts are cooling, prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Once the donuts have cooled, dip each donut into the cream cheese glaze and then roll in the graham cracker crumbs for a crunchy finish.
