Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter, softened

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.

  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.

  • Roll dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and granulated sugar. Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  • Flatten each cookie slightly with a fork and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden.

 

  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
