Description

Sweet, smoky, and caramelized, Grilled Pineapple is a perfect summer treat! The natural sugars of the pineapple intensify when grilled, creating a mouthwatering, juicy dessert or side dish that’s sure to impress at your next barbecue.


Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pineapple

  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness)

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

  • Pinch of salt (optional, to enhance sweetness)


Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to medium heat.

  • Peel and core the pineapple, then slice it into rings about 1/2 inch thick.

  • If desired, drizzle the pineapple slices with honey and sprinkle cinnamon and a pinch of salt for extra flavor.

  • Place the pineapple slices on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the fruit softens.

 

  • Serve warm as a side dish, dessert, or atop ice cream or yogurt for a tropical treat.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, you can sprinkle the grilled pineapple with coconut flakes or fresh mint before serving.

The pineapple can also be served with a splash of lime juice for a refreshing tang.
