Ingredients
Scale
For the Pizza:
- 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded
- 1 head garlic, roasted (see instructions for roasting)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For Roasted Garlic:
- 1 head garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Roast the garlic:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, and wrap it in aluminum foil. Roast for 30-35 minutes, until the garlic is soft and caramelized. Once cooled, squeeze the garlic cloves out of their skins and mash them into a paste. - Prepare the chicken:
If not already cooked, cook the chicken breasts in a skillet over medium heat with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper. Once fully cooked, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces. - Prepare the pizza dough:
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone. - Assemble the pizza:
Spread the roasted garlic paste evenly over the pizza dough. Drizzle with a little olive oil. Add the shredded chicken on top, followed by dollops of ricotta cheese. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the pizza. - Bake the pizza:
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden and crispy. - Finish and serve:
Once out of the oven, sprinkle the chopped fresh basil and oregano on top. Season with a little salt and pepper to taste. Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use a store-bought pizza dough or make your own for an extra homemade touch.
- For added richness, you can drizzle a little balsamic glaze over the pizza before serving.
- If you prefer a more garlic-forward flavor, add extra roasted garlic or garlic powder to the ricotta cheese mixture.
- You can substitute the chicken with grilled vegetables for a vegetarian version.
