For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

For the Zesty Lemon Butter Cream Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Bake the salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • Make the lemon butter cream sauce: While the salmon is baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve: Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven. Drizzle the lemon butter cream sauce over the top of each fillet. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • If you like your salmon with a crispy skin, broil it for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking.
