Description

A delicious twist on the classic Caesar salad, this Chicken Caesar Croissant Sandwich is the perfect blend of savory chicken, creamy Caesar dressing, and crunchy romaine lettuce, all tucked inside a buttery, flaky croissant. Ideal for lunch, dinner, or a picnic, this sandwich is a satisfying meal that’s both refreshing and indulgent.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Sandwich:

  • 2 large croissants

  • 2 cooked chicken breasts (sliced)

  • 1 cup Romaine lettuce, chopped

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for toasting croissant)

Instructions

  • If you prefer a warm sandwich, lightly toast the croissants in a skillet with a little olive oil, cut side down, until golden and crispy.

  • Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips.

  • In a small bowl, toss the chopped Romaine lettuce with the Caesar dressing, ensuring it’s evenly coated.

  • Open the croissants and layer the sliced chicken on the bottom half of each croissant.

  • Spoon the dressed lettuce on top of the chicken, followed by a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.

  • Close the croissant and season with freshly ground black pepper.

  • Serve immediately, or wrap up for a delicious on-the-go lunch!

Notes

You can substitute grilled or rotisserie chicken for a quicker option.

Add some crispy bacon or avocado for extra flavor and texture.

For a lighter version, use a low-fat Caesar dressing and skip the toasting step.
