Ingredients
For the Sandwich:
-
2 large croissants
-
2 cooked chicken breasts (sliced)
-
1 cup Romaine lettuce, chopped
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
2 tablespoons Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
-
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
-
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for toasting croissant)
Instructions
-
If you prefer a warm sandwich, lightly toast the croissants in a skillet with a little olive oil, cut side down, until golden and crispy.
-
Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips.
-
In a small bowl, toss the chopped Romaine lettuce with the Caesar dressing, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
-
Open the croissants and layer the sliced chicken on the bottom half of each croissant.
-
Spoon the dressed lettuce on top of the chicken, followed by a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
-
Close the croissant and season with freshly ground black pepper.
-
Serve immediately, or wrap up for a delicious on-the-go lunch!
Notes
You can substitute grilled or rotisserie chicken for a quicker option.
Add some crispy bacon or avocado for extra flavor and texture.
For a lighter version, use a low-fat Caesar dressing and skip the toasting step.
