- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs until foamy. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until thick and pale.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold into the egg mixture.
- Stir in milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Gently roll the cake with the parchment paper and let it cool completely.
- Carefully unroll the cake and spread your favorite filling. Roll the cake back up without the parchment paper.
