Description

This twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich adds a creamy, tangy layer of cream cheese, creating a rich and delicious sandwich with a perfect balance of flavors. The golden, crispy exterior combined with the creamy interior will take your grilled cheese game to the next level!


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, or sourdough)

  • 2 tbsp butter (softened)

  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (softened)

  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)


Instructions

  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.

  • Spread cream cheese on the other side of one slice of bread.

  • Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the cream cheese.

  • Top with the second slice of bread, butter side facing out.

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

  • Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has melted.

 

  • Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

You can add extra fillings like ham, turkey, or tomato for added flavor.
