Description

These delightful Funnel Cake Bites capture the fun and flavor of the classic fair treat in bite-sized form. Crispy, golden brown, and dusted with powdered sugar, they make the perfect sweet snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix together the milk, sugar, and egg until smooth.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is well combined.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  • Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, drop the batter into the hot oil in small portions.
  • Fry the bites for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown on all sides.
  • Remove the funnel cake bites from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a dash of vanilla extract or cinnamon to the batter.
  • Funnel cake bites are best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • You can also drizzle chocolate or strawberry syrup on top for an extra treat.
