Ingredients

2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or brioche)

2 tbsp softened cream cheese

½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or slices)

1–2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (or sliced for extra heat)

2 slices of cooked bacon (optional but recommended)

1 tbsp butter (for grilling)

Optional: pinch of garlic powder or smoked paprika
Instructions

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Butter one side of each slice of bread.

On the non-buttered side of one slice, spread the cream cheese evenly.

Layer on the shredded cheddar, jalapeños, and bacon (if using).

Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
