Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a leaner option)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for dipping sauce, optional)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (for dipping sauce, optional)
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (for dipping sauce, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Patty Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to mix until well combined. - Shape the Patties:
Divide the mixture into equal portions and form them into small patties. To create a Valentine’s Day touch, gently press the patties into a heart-shaped mold or form them by hand into heart shapes. - Cook the Patties:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F for ground beef). If cooking in batches, be sure not to overcrowd the pan. - Prepare the Dipping Sauce (Optional):
In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, mayonnaise, and hot sauce for a tangy dipping sauce. Adjust the amount of hot sauce based on your preference for heat. - Serve:
Once the patties are cooked, arrange them on a serving platter. Serve with the dipping sauce on the side or drizzle the sauce over the patties. Enjoy these fun and festive Valentine’s Day treats!
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, you can substitute the ground beef with plant-based ground meat or lentils for a similar texture.
- You can also make these patties in advance and store them in the fridge for up to a day before cooking.
- These patties can be served as a main dish with mashed potatoes or veggies, or as a fun appetizer at a Valentine’s Day party.
