Description

These juicy and flavorful garlic parmesan chicken skewers are the perfect combination of tender chicken, savory garlic, and a tangy parmesan crust. Made in the air fryer for a quick and easy dinner or appetizer, they’re a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
  • 1 tsp paprika (regular or smoked)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce (or to taste)
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cut into chunks)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Tabasco sauce. Toss the chicken thighs in the mixture until fully coated. Let it marinate for at least 10-15 minutes.
  • Skewer the Chicken: Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
  • Cook the Chicken: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the skewers in the air fryer basket and cook for about 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
  • Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While the chicken is cooking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red chili flakes (if using) and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Stir in the parmesan cheese and lemon juice until smooth.
  • Coat the Chicken: Once the chicken skewers are done, remove them from the air fryer and drizzle the garlic parmesan sauce over the skewers. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to use chicken breasts instead of thighs, but adjust the cooking time as they will cook faster.
  • For a smokier flavor, use smoked paprika instead of regular paprika.
  • Adjust the amount of Tabasco sauce for your desired spice level.
