Ingredients
-
Hawaiian rolls (12-count pack)
-
Breakfast sausage patties
-
Eggs
-
Shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
-
Milk
-
Salt and pepper
-
Butter
-
Dijon mustard (optional)
-
Maple syrup (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
-
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected as a whole. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
-
Cook the breakfast sausage patties according to package instructions, then crumble the sausage into small pieces.
-
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble the eggs in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
-
Layer the cooked sausage on top of the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls, followed by the scrambled eggs and shredded cheese.
-
Place the top half of the rolls on top of the fillings.
-
In a small bowl, melt butter and whisk in Dijon mustard (if using). Pour the butter mixture over the top of the sliders, making sure to coat them evenly.
-
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are hot.
-
If desired, drizzle with a little maple syrup before serving for a sweet and savory touch.
-
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
-
Feel free to swap out the sausage for bacon, ham, or even a vegetarian alternative like plant-based sausage.
-
For an extra flavor kick, add a few slices of avocado or a drizzle of sriracha sauce.
-
You can also make these sliders ahead of time and refrigerate them before baking. Just bake them when you’re ready to serve!
