Description

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole grain or rye bread (or your preferred bread)
  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese (or more, to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Lemon wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh greens (optional, such as arugula or spinach)

Instructions

  • Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on one slice of bread.
  • Add a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the other slice.
  • Place the smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese-covered bread.
  • Sprinkle capers, red onion slices, and fresh dill over the salmon.
  • Top with fresh greens if using.
  • Close the sandwich with the second slice of bread.
  • Serve with a wedge of lemon on the side for added freshness.
