Description

These rich and creamy Chocolate Truffles are the ultimate indulgence! Made with semi-sweet chocolate, heavy cream, and a hint of vanilla, they’re coated in cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles for a delightful treat. Perfect for special occasions or as a homemade gift.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles for coating

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just starts to simmer.
  • Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl and pour the hot cream over it.
  • Let it sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and well combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Using a spoon or melon baller, scoop out small portions of the chocolate mixture and roll into balls.
  • Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles to coat.
  • Refrigerate until firm, then enjoy!

Notes

  • You can experiment with different coatings such as powdered sugar, crushed cookies, or even coconut flakes for a unique twist.
  • Truffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • If the chocolate mixture is too soft to roll, refrigerate it a little longer or use gloves to handle the truffles.
